Forbes: business paradigm shift

“Plastic pollution in oceans is an urgent and visible problem, but merely cleaning up won't solve it. So long as plastic keeps flowing into the oceans, removing it is important, and yet also an example of fighting the Symptoms of a deeper issue. To truly address it, we must examine the root causes, the laws, structures, and norms that lead to plastic creation and disposal, and work towards structur- al change. Read the full article I wrote for a 2023 issue of Forbes magazine here. The digital version is out now too, you can read it here.

I was honoured to find out that this issue is the second only in the history of the Forbes DACH Magazine that is completely sold out. Though it probably has more to do with Barbie on the cover than my article, I am still happy to know that this message had made its way to the hands of many people.

Nora Wilhelm

Nora Wilhelm is a systems change advocate, researcher and artist dedicated to paradigm shifts for a more just and regenerative future. She has been on a quest to make change work since her teens, and eventually hit a wall when her body couldn't cope anymore. She was diagnosed with burn-out, and realised she had to unlearn putting herself at the end of her own to do list. In addition to her systems change work and support for (aspiring) systems change leaders, she founded the well • change atelier in 2023 to make art-based processes and tools to cultivate connection, creativity, and well-being available to more people, and is an outspoken advocate for mental health.
